An Electrical Service Panel is specifically installed and set up depending on:
- Building Size (The more rooms the more power it will require)
- Amount of Electrical Current used by Appliances & Equipment

What is the Electrical Service Panel?
It is the Control Panel that Distributes and Regulates electric current to different parts of your building or home, by creating Electric Circuits you can have different amperage assigned to different rooms. The Ideal Service Panel should have 200 Amps to distribute, anything less than 200 Amps may need an upgrade.
Here are other names referred to the Electrical Service Panel:
- Breaker box
- Circuit breaker panel or box
- Power breaker
- Fuse box
- Fuse board
- Load center
- Panel board
- Electrical service
- Residential service
- Service panel
- Main panel
- Distribution board
Do I need an Electrical Service Panel upgrade?
We will have to inspect your Electrical System in order to determine if you need an upgrade, here some of the main reasons why you may consider upgrading.
Top reasons to upgrade your Service Panel
01 Fuses: Edison
Edison Fuses are obsolete and have been replaced by breakers. These fuses will burn if an overload occurs instead of interrupting the electrical current as breakers do.
02 Obsolete Panels: Obsolete Electrical Service Panels, Discontinued Panels
Zinsco, Pushmatic and Federal Pacific stopped manufacturing their Electrical Service Panels due to performance and design flaws.
03 No Main: No Main Breaker, 4 Breaker Spaces
No control over the main Electrical Current and a very limited breaker spaces, which creates power limitations.
04 All Twins: No Main Breaker, All Twin Breakers (15 Amps), 4 Breaker Spaces
No control over the main Electrical Current, limited breaker spaces, which creates power limitations. Having twin breakers only adds more division channels to the Electrical Current while having the same amount of electrical power.
05 Small Main: Main Too Small (50-100 Amps), 4-8 Breaker Spaces
Most of regular size houses require a minimum of 200 Amps Electrical Service Panel, anything lower than 200 Amps may result in power cuts and overheating the wiring which may create fire hazards.
06 Small Main + Subpanel: Main Too Small 100 Amps 8 Breaker Spaces + Subpanel
Not enough amperage with a subdivided circuit system.
